Erasmus Plus Experiences
There are many events, organizations, and programs that are truly valuable and transformative. However, we often do not pay sufficient attention to these opportunities, or we simply do not want to improve ourselves. While searching for ways to grow, I came across Erasmus Plus Projects and read extensively about them, both on Instagram and official websites. Eventually, I became very excited to take advantage of these projects. As someone eager to broaden my horizons, I found no other opportunities that could offer financial compensation, the chance to visit multiple countries, and, most importantly, firsthand experience in delivering presentations and workshops in English. Additionally, you meet many like-minded young individuals from across Europe and stay in touch with them.
Brasov, Romania
Although the projects were amazing, the acceptance process was not easy at all. In 2022, I filled out more than 50 application forms but was not accepted each time. Despite this, I kept applying and adjusted my approach. Eventually, I was given the opportunity to participate in a wonderful Erasmus Plus Project in Brasov, Romania, focused on Sustainability and Leadership. After gaining this first experience, I was eager to participate in more projects, as I loved my initial exposure to Erasmus Plus. Two months later, I became the group leader of the Turkish team in Katowice, Poland. I must confess, despite some challenges, it was one of the best two weeks of my 2023. I met numerous people and made friends with whom I am still in touch.
I would love to participate in more projects, but due to other commitments, I haven’t had enough time. I highly recommend these incredible programs to young individuals who want to travel, meet new people, and step out of their comfort zones.
