Hey friends! I am Muhammet, a junior management student.

My Travels
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness," says Mark Twain. Such a great observation, isn’t it? Of course, it’s highly expected from the author of Adventures of Tom Sawyer. This quote shows how significant traveling is for extending our horizons and learning new things from the places we visit and the people we meet.
To put it more clearly, when you visit a country, even if you don’t aim to learn new things, you still somehow get familiar with its currency, cities, and culture. However, if you travel not just for taking pictures in front of fancy buildings, you’ll probably learn more than you think.
For example, you might understand the value of your home country and feel more thankful, or you might realize whether a country is overrated or not. Most importantly, you’ll discover your real self because I believe that when we travel, we see different sides of ourselves.
I love traveling because I learn so much while visiting cities with different backgrounds, and I also gather countless stories and memories to tell later on. It’s great to have such opportunities to see more of the world and learn about human beings. However, traveling isn’t always easy due to financial limitations or visa restrictions. Despite these challenges, there are still ways to travel, such as visiting cheaper countries or those that don’t require a visa.
Overall, I deeply believe that traveling is something that makes you feel alone in a foreign city, pushes you out of your comfort zone, and forces you to find your way to the city center without internet. It’s an experience that teaches you resilience and independence.
Lastly, I want to share my own experiences and how I managed to travel to more than 15 countries in less than two years as a low-budget student. At the beginning of my university years, I was sure that I wanted to travel and see the places I had always wondered about. So, I looked for opportunities to make my trips both possible and affordable. In this way, I participated in a couple of Erasmus+ projects and got the chance to visit several countries. Besides this, I also booked cheap tickets and took advantage of my Erasmus studies and summer school experiences to travel a little more. I know I’ll travel to more countries soon, and I’m excited about it.
I also want to add that I’ll be sharing a blog about how to learn more about a country while visiting it. Travel isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about understanding them deeply :)
